Stop Wasting Food movement Denmark (Stop Spild Af Mad) is Denmark’s biggest NGO against food waste, counting 30,000+ members and impacting weekly 250,000+ people. Stop Wasting Food has influenced the value chain from farm to fork, as well as politicians, MP's, MEP's and the media - and generated visible results: every 2nd Dane has reduced food waste. The movement is an official Partner of FAO initiative SAVE FOOD, EU collaboration FUSIONS and FAO/UNEP campaign Think.Eat.Save. Stop Wasting Food movement Denmark has also launched the European United Against Food Waste event campaign in several countries - and is a co-developer of MILAN PROTOCOL, so-signer of FAO SAVE FOOD Declaration and Every Crumb Counts Declaration. Stop Wasting Food is a co-developer of the Joint Declaration Against Food Waste, which has inspired the EU resolution against food waste.
Selina Juul, Founder of Stop Wasting Food, is a TEDx Speaker, Speaker at many conferences on food waste and Winner of Nordic Council Nature and Environment Prize, Svend Auken Prize, Junior Chamber International Denmark's The Outstanding Young Person Award, Recipient of Cross of Merit Pro Utilitate Hominum of Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights Hospitaller and Recipient of Dane of the Year 2014 title for her fight againt food waste.
