PAC is a North American-based, not for profit corporation, founded in 1950. PAC drives for progressive change in the packaging value chain through leadership, collaboration and knowledge sharing.
PAC created the PAC FOOD WASTE (PFW) initiative to reduce food waste throughout the supply chain, through packaging improvements. PAC wants to investigate the causes, identify opportunities for innovation, extend product shelf life, inform and educate the broader community. To date 34 organizations have joined PFW which is co-chaired by executives from DuPont, Sealed-Air and Sobeys. PFW is launching three research projects in April 2014. PAC joined Save Food to collaborate internationally with like-minded organizations to reduce food waste globally.
