“BRF products are available in more than 150 countries and we firmly believe in a sustainable way with the purpose of being partner in nature, nurture life and prepare food with love. This is our Food Vision and waste doesn’t fit with it.
We believe that SAVE FOOD, from grain to the final product, is the only way to sustain the development and feed the world. That’s why we are looking not only for the 12.3 UN target but to all the 12 SDG related to our activities. So, our strategy is to focus on prevention, education and inclusion of this awareness in other initiatives of the company such as animal welfare, food packaging, etc. Also, we are looking for to optimize the use of natural resources and improving our inventory system. We are also donating the unsold products and systematizing the donations for food banks in Brazil.
Our expectation taking part with SAVE FOOD Initiative is to become an influential and active company fighting against food waste. As a global company we are more than 100,000 direct people from different cultures to be engaged and who we hope that can be ambassadors for the cause to help us to educate the consumers”
