Education and Training: AIP offers education and training programs to assist with minimising food waste and loss globally. These programs include the Save Food Packaging Design Award and various hands-on workshops and training courses.
Partnerships with Food Rescue Organisations: AIP also partnered with Foodbank Australia for over 15 years to run an annual Christmas Hamper Packing Program in Queensland. In that time over $1 million of products were donated and 15,000 hampers were packed by volunteers from the AIP and sister associations.
AIP’s commitment to fighting food waste is a result of its collaboration with various organisations and its focus on education, training, and partnerships. By implementing these strategies, AIP aims to reduce food waste and improve the sustainability of the packaging industry.
