Jeff Wooster joined Dow in 1988 after receiving a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University of Science & Technology. He worked for 5 years in Polyolefins Product Research, developing new polyethylene resins and working to understand fundamental materials science and polymer processing.
In 1993 Wooster transferred to Plastics Technical Service & Development, where he has held technical responsibility for many of Dow's key polyethylene customers. He has developed and implemented new technology for various application areas such as stretch film, heavy duty shipping sacks, and fresh-cut produce packaging.
He enjoys collaborating with the entire value chain and is currently Global Sustainability Director in Dow’s Packaging & Specialty Plastics business. He is passionate about sustainability and is a member of the Board of Directors of AMERIPEN and GreenBlue and serves on the Executive Committee of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition.
Wooster holds 44 U.S. and foreign patents and has published over 50 technical papers and presentations. He is a frequently invited guest speaker on the subjects of sustainability and sustainable packaging.
